Formatting a book can be one of the most challenging aspects of self publishing. It requires a great deal of time and patience. Most books are set out at the following sizes:

5x7

6x9

7x10

8.25x10.25

You will also need to remember to add your title or name to the page format and a  page #. Most programs are set out so you can # a page automatically, these do not always work if the book size is not a standard size. You must also remember to set out your text at double space. The font size and text is also an important aspect as that is what your customers are going to try and focus on when they are reading a book. Although cursive is a great font, it is not necessarily a great font for a fiction / non fiction book.

To assist you we will format 1-3 pages of your book for you for free. We will send you the margin and helpful hints back so you will be able to follow the guidelines.
